It doesn’t take a long time to update an innovative and groundbreaking product. Just six months after releasing the first Blu-Ray camcorder, Hitachi releases a new, smaller version of its Blu-Ray camcorder.
One of the unique features from the previous version can still be found here. The DZ-DB10H can record to 8-cm Blu-rays, DVDs, or it’s 30GB hard drive. In addition, the camera can also record movies and still images to SD/SDHC memory cards. It has a 7 megapixel CMOS sensor, Picture Master image processing, A 2.7-inch hi-res LCD, and a 10x zoom lens with optical anti-shake technology. There’s also face recognition for exposure and focus.

Creative tried to keep this one under the radar, but a leaked image on their Hong Kong site was recently discovered showcasing the yet-to-be-released Zen Krystal media player. The 4GB player is comparable to the Nike+ edition iPod series. In other words, designed for the purpose of working out with music.
It includes several games, namely “Hurdle Race, Catch & Dodge and Dice Roll.” The unit features a blue 0.7″ OLED, FM radio, and 10 hours of playback time. (more…)

Decisively marketed to the “I have more money than I know how to rightly spend” demographic, the ITC One from SE2 Labs is, quite possibly, the only media center you’ll need for at least the next 4 years (give or take). That is, of course, if you’re willing to fork over the minimum $25,000 to actually order the machine.
Sitting like some kind of gigantic monolith in your living room, the ITC One comes with an XBOX 360, iPod dock, and DVR on the standard model, with things like an optional Blu-Ray, Apple TV, or Nintendo Wii available as optional addons. Throw in your HDMI, Ethernet, and other standard connections, and this is one beast of a media machine that doesn’t kid around. It’s the veritable Swiss Army knife of media centers with everything wrapped up neatly in one self-contained package for your convenience. (more…)

Have we hit our limit? This new watch has so many bells and whistles it may be too heavy to wear. Let’s start with the phone. The dialing is done via the keypad on the back lit wrist strap. Talking is either straight audio with a built-in mike, or via a bluetooth earpiece also provided. Talk time is up to 150 min. Standby is as much as 100 hours!
It has a 1.3-inch display and it’s a touch screen. Right. I guess that means you can only touch the screen because you couldn’t actually manipulate something in that small space! There is a mini stylus handy that could help when using your organizer or one of the several games. It hides away on the watch so you can keep track of it. There is an MP3 player to listen to tunes wirelessly. Supported formats include: MP3, WMA, WAV & AMR. (more…)

Just when I thought the previous projector was small enough, Aiptek unveils another pocket-size media player projector named PocketCinema V10.
It is roughly the same size as the 2nd generation iPod Nano, but it can project a 50-inch image on a flat surface. The secret sauce is 3M’s revolutionary mini projection technology.
The interesting feature is that you can display content from mobile phones, an iPod, a Wii, or any device with video playback capabilities. Connect it using the 3-in-1 AV jack, and enjoy the big picture anywhere. You can also playback videos and show photos stored in its 1GB internal memory or SD/MMC/MS Pro card.
Formats supported by V10 include JPEG, ASF, AVI, and MPEG-4. (more…)

A really convenient gadget, these rechargeable batteries actually have a 5V DC USB plug attached to the cell, allowing you to recharge them from your laptop or any other USB Source. Perfect for recharging any digital camera that uses AA Batteries without the need for bulky chargers and cables.
- Bamboo Computers, Casings Do Grow on Trees! -

Plastics are really bad for the environment, and with the millions of gadgets disposed of each year, plastic cases are really going to fill up landfills for decades. Bamboo on the otherhand is a sturdy, biodegradable material that is produced rapidly by the fast-growing bamboo plant. Whilst we can recycle the computer’s innards, a bamboo casing would allow us to recycle the casing as well! My only gripe?: Doesn’t that make the notebook heavier?

Today SanDisk unveiled their latest line of memory cards known as the Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo, and these aren’t your ordinary sticks. What’s special about these cards are their write and read transfer speed of up to 30Mbps. Yes you read that right.

Casio has released their new 6 megapixel Digital camera, it has what is called a burst mode where it can shoot up to 60 frames per second (FPS). This can be setup to be shoot at 30 FPS for 2 seconds or 20 FPS for 3 seconds etc. Once you’ve finished taking your 60 frames, the camera will play them back for you so you can pick the ones that you want.
The EX-F1 also has a pre-record mode, where when the shutter button is depressed half-way it starts recording at 60 fps, then when the shutter button is fully depressed, it saves not only the most recent shots but also the shots directly leading up to them.

Perhaps the thought of carrying around a miniature projector in your pocket evokes childhood memories of Princess Leia pleading with Obi-Wan for help through a hologram, but Samsung plans to capitalize on 3M’s new mini projectors by rolling them out with new phones later this year.
What’s not clear is whether these projectors will come as a plug-in add on, or built into the phones themselves.
Currently, the size of the projectors makes them about as big as the cameras in the camera phones many of us currently carry.
Consumers might not appreciate it either way, as the component is expected to retail for anywhere from $200 to $400. (more…)
