Can’t decide whether to buy speakers or mood lighting for your room? Luckily for us, Brando has a brilliant idea of mixing the two entirely different things into one gadget, the USB Light Tube Speakers.
The blue electric glow kinda reminds me of cheap Star-Wars wannabe flicks that nobody even remembers the titles of. Although it’s drawing juice from USB, it doesn’t mean that you have connect it to the computer. The Light Tube can also be connected to MP3 and CD players, pumping out stereo sound in no time. Here’s a perfect complement for your beloved Mac. It is he first webcam specially designed for Mac from Logitech. It comes with with premium autofocus technology and Carl Zeiss optics. This is for Mac users only who feel like they need better video quality than the integrated webcam. The design suggests that Logitech is really serious with their offering this time.
The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam is way beyond your ordinary webcam. It uses a voice coil motor for its autofocus system instead of a stepper motor and Logitech claims that focusing is fast and fluid, even in extreme close-up situations. The 2 Megapixel sensor also records sharp 720p High Definition video clips. (more…)
If you have ever used a computer that had more than one monitor or a computer with a very big monitor attached to it, it’s hard to go back to using just one little monitor.
Now imagine using one of the huge gigantic multi monitor setups below. Going back to even two or three monitors would feel extremely small in comparison.

Another creation from the Giga Pixel Lab. Welcome to scary twenty-four monitor Quake 3! The system is driven by 12 Linux servers using Distributed Multihead X and Chromium software. We’re betting that its pretty easy to see the enemy coming in this one.

This massive wall of fifty 21″ displays is from the Giga Pixel Lab at Virginia Tech. Each display is touch capable, thus the shiny appearance. 25 Shuttle PCs are used as a cluster to drive this massive display, with a total resolution of 65,536,000 pixels (65.5 Mega Pixels). We’re not entirely sure what anyone would do with such a monster, but it sure is a good way to ask for an increase on your research grant (cough!).

Tired of that blank wall in front of your desk? Why not mount twelve 30inch Dell monitors to it, then whenever you’re feeling bored you could surf the web on 4 monitors whilst you use the rest as an aquarium screen saver to relax…

The PLC-XL51 has an SD slot you can make presentations without the use of a computer. It also has color correction software that allows you to project images on dark surfaces.
It can even be controlled from any web browser, thanks to the fact that it has built in 802.11 b/g WiFi. If you don’t have WiFi, you can simply plug in an ethernet cable instead.

I am sure you have seen countless movies in which they show people using video phones as if it was a regular thing. When you actually think about the technology needed for this, you wonder why something like this is not widespread yet. Tandberg’s hopes to change that with their new E20 video phone, which is targeted toward businesses.
This VOIP video phone has a 5 Megapixel camera which offers DVD quality video on its 10.6-inch WXGA LCD display. It also has a privacy shutter in case you don’t want people to see whats going on. (more…)

Did you know that discarded junk mail is the number one cause of identity theft?
We all have stacks of papers, receipts, and junk mail that we accumulate over time. Many people simply toss it out as is. Just be aware that if you throw away sensitive information, which includes junk mail, you may become a victim of identity theft.
These days we should be as careful as possible with our personal information. That is where the new ultra convenient hand-held Ziszor paper shredder comes in.
It is as mobile as your phone, well not quite, but you get the point. You can take the Ziszor anywhere. Try lugging around a full size paper shredder and see how well that works. I have been using it for days now and it is way more convenient than a huge trash can top shredder. (more…)
The collaboration of Voodoo and HP has finally bear fruit. The new Envy 133 is one of the most beautiful, sleekest laptops on earth.
Personally, I even like it better than the MacBook Air. The design sports a carbon fiber case that weighs just 3.4 pounds and it is only a mere 0.7 inches thin. It is complete with retro futuristic edges. You can customize it by choosing one of 14 Voodoo Allure paint colors and a selection of laser engravings. (more…)
5 years ago I couldn’t picture myself using an overpriced (in my opinion), underpowered laptop, but now I couldn’t imagine how life would be without my laptop. In the notebook market the undisputed king of the jungle is Intel. Intel is about to get a challenge from its eternal rival, AMD who is releasing their newest next-generation mobile platform dubbed PUMA. This new platform is due out in 2008. In early 2009 AMD will spin out the new “Fusion” integrated processor that combines the CPU and GPU onto a single 45nm die.
The combo-chip is set to be used in almost every gadget, from UMPCs to widescreen notebooks, as well as other consumer electronic devices.

You’re set to buy UMPCs but don’t really like the current crop? Well, if you’re patient enough, you can get your hands on this fine UMPC from Dell.
No official name has been announced yet. For the moment, it’s being called the “mini-Inspiron”.
No word about the processor, memory, the OS or the pricing. However I think it will be sold in the range of ASUS Eee PC’s pricing. It will have three USB ports, a muti card reader, VGA out, and Ethernet.
It comes in your choice of two colors.
