I am sure everyone can relate to snoozing the alarm when it goes off, or even turning it off completely. Of course this can sometimes lead to over sleeping and being late to work or wherever you have to go.
The new Tyrant alarm clock from Alice Wang intends to firmly put a stop to that.
So if you decide to over snooze and not turn this alarm clock off it will randomly dial numbers from your cell phone every 3 minutes. I am sure the people getting those phone calls wouldn’t find it as funny, and chances are they will call you back to tell you about it.
Of course, that would really wake you up.

This gesture based remote from Licentia really steps out side the box. The fact is, most of us only use a fraction of all the buttons on the average remote control.
So really, why in the world do they still come with all the buttons you really never use? That’s where the new remote from Licentia comes in. The new remote allows you to control your TV using a device made with two discs. You simply spin or compress the disc to change the channel, adjust the volume and more. (more…)

When Samsung announced its newest Blu-ray player, the BD-P1500, I felt like their was a generation gap. Well, apparently the BD-P1500 is the fourth generation of Samsung’s Blu-Ray Disc Player. Wow, four generations already?
Design-wise, it’s slimmer than the previous generation, the perfect size to be slipped underneath my already-cramped AV cabinet. It supports 1080p full HD resolution and can upsample or improve DVD or standard definition images. The sound department includes DTS, Dolby Digital Plus, and a Dolby True HD Decoder. Software upgrades can be done via USB 2.0 or network connection (Ethernet). (more…)

Here’s a perfect complement for your beloved Mac. It is he first webcam specially designed for Mac from Logitech. It comes with with premium autofocus technology and Carl Zeiss optics. This is for Mac users only who feel like they need better video quality than the integrated webcam. The design suggests that Logitech is really serious with their offering this time.
The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam is way beyond your ordinary webcam. It uses a voice coil motor for its autofocus system instead of a stepper motor and Logitech claims that focusing is fast and fluid, even in extreme close-up situations. The 2 Megapixel sensor also records sharp 720p High Definition video clips. (more…)
If you have ever used a computer that had more than one monitor or a computer with a very big monitor attached to it, it’s hard to go back to using just one little monitor.
Now imagine using one of the huge gigantic multi monitor setups below. Going back to even two or three monitors would feel extremely small in comparison.

Another creation from the Giga Pixel Lab. Welcome to scary twenty-four monitor Quake 3! The system is driven by 12 Linux servers using Distributed Multihead X and Chromium software. We’re betting that its pretty easy to see the enemy coming in this one.

This massive wall of fifty 21″ displays is from the Giga Pixel Lab at Virginia Tech. Each display is touch capable, thus the shiny appearance. 25 Shuttle PCs are used as a cluster to drive this massive display, with a total resolution of 65,536,000 pixels (65.5 Mega Pixels). We’re not entirely sure what anyone would do with such a monster, but it sure is a good way to ask for an increase on your research grant (cough!).

Tired of that blank wall in front of your desk? Why not mount twelve 30inch Dell monitors to it, then whenever you’re feeling bored you could surf the web on 4 monitors whilst you use the rest as an aquarium screen saver to relax…

Decisively marketed to the “I have more money than I know how to rightly spend” demographic, the ITC One from SE2 Labs is, quite possibly, the only media center you’ll need for at least the next 4 years (give or take). That is, of course, if you’re willing to fork over the minimum $25,000 to actually order the machine.
Sitting like some kind of gigantic monolith in your living room, the ITC One comes with an XBOX 360, iPod dock, and DVR on the standard model, with things like an optional Blu-Ray, Apple TV, or Nintendo Wii available as optional addons. Throw in your HDMI, Ethernet, and other standard connections, and this is one beast of a media machine that doesn’t kid around. It’s the veritable Swiss Army knife of media centers with everything wrapped up neatly in one self-contained package for your convenience. (more…)

Check out these amazing ipod dock speakers from the Apple Store! Boy they’re a sexy number… though we’re not entirely sure if the intended market are fans of Led Zeppelin or baby boomers who saw glimpses of those airships (also known as Zeppelins)!
The pointy speakers produce stereo sound and charge your iPod at the same time. They also come with a remote control through which the volume and other aspects of your iPod can be controlled. Finally, it even comes with a S-Video jack for outputting images/video from the iPod to your TV! (more…)
The collaboration of Voodoo and HP has finally bear fruit. The new Envy 133 is one of the most beautiful, sleekest laptops on earth.
Personally, I even like it better than the MacBook Air. The design sports a carbon fiber case that weighs just 3.4 pounds and it is only a mere 0.7 inches thin. It is complete with retro futuristic edges. You can customize it by choosing one of 14 Voodoo Allure paint colors and a selection of laser engravings. (more…)
A child is missing. Her face is posted on telephone poles throughout the city. The nightly news covers her frantic family’s plea for her return. A terrible scenario, yet it happens way too frequently.
Thankfully a solution is on the way. The Link Child Locator from Continuum Studio is coming soon. It’s a pair of bracelets. One for the parent, one for the child.
The child module transmits a signal to the parent. The radius is determined beforehand and when the child begins to go outside of the given radius, the parent’s watch/bracelet buzzes.
A glance at the bracelet will tell you which direction the child is in. (more…)

It seems that every computer manufacturer has come up with a shrinking ray-gun to make all their gadgets smaller. ASUS is the latest to conjure up the dark arts with its Mini PC Nova Lite PX24. It’s the world’s smallest mini PC equipped with built-in dedicated graphics card, courtesy of ATI. The creme de la creme will be the support for High Definition output, both 1080i and 1080p, making it the world’s smallest HD PC.
Although it’s very small, ASUS has managed to throw in a 250GB hard drive, built-in Wireless LAN, Hi-Fi speakers, and HDMI port. The slim profile allows users to place it horizontally or vertically, to save desk space. An optional stand and Vista remote control is available. (more…)
