Casio has released their new 6 megapixel Digital camera, it has what is called a burst mode where it can shoot up to 60 frames per second (FPS). This can be setup to be shoot at 30 FPS for 2 seconds or 20 FPS for 3 seconds etc. Once you’ve finished taking your 60 frames, the camera will play them back for you so you can pick the ones that you want.
The EX-F1 also has a pre-record mode, where when the shutter button is depressed half-way it starts recording at 60 fps, then when the shutter button is fully depressed, it saves not only the most recent shots but also the shots directly leading up to them.
It also has a motion detector to automatically capture up to 60 photos when something is detected. (more…)

Microsoft has created a lower cost version of its Microsoft Surface. The TouchWall refers to a system, not a specific product, of converting any surface into a multi-touch computer interface.
The TouchWall system consists of a projector, 3 infrared lasers, 1 infrared camera and a flat surface. Any flat surface will do. In the demonstration, Microsoft used a vertical plexiglass plate as the image plane, with the projector projecting the image from the rear - to eliminate shadows caused by forward projection. When I came out of the movie theaters after seeing Iron Man fly around for two hours, I knew that although it may be possible in the future, seeing someone really flying around in something so small was not happening now.
Well turns out I was wrong, and a Swiss pilot by the name of Yves Rossy has created a jet powered wing which can be strapped to a person’s back allowing them to fly at over 185 miles per hour.
For his demonstration, Yves got on a plane which took him up to 7,500 feet where he unfolded his wings and jumped out of the plane.
Passing from free fall to a gentle glide, Rossy then triggered four jet turbines and accelerated to 186 miles per hour, about 65 miles per hour faster than the typical falling skydiver. A plane that flew at some distance beside him measured his speed.
