Perhaps gas prices have you looking for a more fuel efficient ride of late? Suddenly, the Prius isn’t looking so bad. That’s a good thing for Toyota, which has been hard at work on it’s latest Prius.
Not only is the newest edition a gas/electric hybrid with self parking, but the solar panels will power the AC when the appropriate power is available. This in turn, takes away that task from the engine, allowing it to use all it’s power to go straight to the wheels.
A company called Solar Electric Vehicles has been able to squeeze out a 29% increase in vehicle fuel economy, so there is clearly some potential here for Toyota to explore, especially as solar efficiency continues to increase. (more…)
Acer’s got a trick (or three) up it’s sleeve in the form of it’s sweet little power packed X1200 series of PCs.

Looking like it came straight out of a Galaxy Class Starship, the Galaxy watch is a thing of beauty.
Tokyoflash–the grandmaster of beautiful face pieces in watches has created the Galaxy watch. The circles of lights were ” developed using digital tube technology”. It’s their display of multiple colors that let you easily read a watch that looks exceedingly complex.
- The outer ring of lights is the hour hand. They light up “clockwise” to count out the hour.
- The inner ring is the minutes hand and it lights up in 5 minute intervals.
- Finally, the four slashes of color above the minutes circle counts out the remaining single minutes.
One touch of the upper button initiates a programmed animation of light, and then presents the time. (more…)
I am sure everyone can relate to snoozing the alarm when it goes off, or even turning it off completely. Of course this can sometimes lead to over sleeping and being late to work or wherever you have to go.
The new Tyrant alarm clock from Alice Wang intends to firmly put a stop to that.
So if you decide to over snooze and not turn this alarm clock off it will randomly dial numbers from your cell phone every 3 minutes. I am sure the people getting those phone calls wouldn’t find it as funny, and chances are they will call you back to tell you about it.
Of course, that would really wake you up.

The only thing I remember when using floppy disk in the good old days was how fragile it is. I have to handle it very carefully so that it won’t bend and can’t be used. How time flies, and everything just got smaller and tougher.
This ultra small USB drive is possibly world’s smallest 8GB USB memory. It’s almost the same size as my pinky, with a thickness of less than 4mm. It’s so small that I presume many people will lose it. (more…)
