Archos is prepping it’s next series of PMP devices, and this time around they are coming packed with 3G connectivity. The new lineup will include will include an ARM Cortex processor, and 3G and 3.5 HSDPA connectivity. Is it just me, or is Internet connectivity starting to become ubiquitous?
The new look is nice, too, but where this series really shines is in the storage: the majority of the new players start at a 160 GB capacity. (more…)
What you see above is the BMW GINA Light, and this car has a body made entirely out of high tech seamless fabric which is stretched over a metal frame. So it won’t turn into Optimus Prime and blast Decepticons, but it can transform. The body shape of this car can be changed at will by the driver.
The material on the exterior of this car is stretched over an aluminum frame which is controlled by hydraulics so you can change the shape of the car as you see fit. That means you can automatically make the spoiler higher, or widen out the fenders to fit your personal taste.
Words cannot explain how cool it looks when it shifts shapes. Check out the video and see for yourself. (more…)

NBC knows how to take a good thing and flog repeatedly it until it’s dead. Mio on the other hand, knows how to take a good thing and make it better.
You would think that having K.I.T.T.’s voice telling you where to go would be enough for most, but in case you aren’t sold on just that (what’s wrong with you?!) perhaps 4+ million points of interest, a 4.3 TFT anti-glare screen, and GPS 20 Channel SiRFstarIII with SiRF InstantFix II (for fast startup times) will pique your interest?
Let’s not forget the Anamorphic Equalizer lights that pulse whenever K.I.T.T. speaks… (more…)

With Epson’s new 6-in-1 Workforce 600, there’s no need to sacrifice quality for affordability. Boasting laser-quality printing and a 5760 x 1440 max resolution at twice the speed of competing inkjets, the Workforce 600 is sure to get your job done quick while looking sharp.

Meet the Lexus Nuaero, an absolutely stunning jet black attack from Lexus. This concept car looks very similar in design to that seen on the Starship Troopers movie series back in the 90s.
There are no foot pedals as Rådbrink believes that human fingers are a whole lot more accurate than our feet. You brake and carry out other previously bipedal actions by using your steering wheel instead.
The thing that makes it standout is its light weight construction yet large physical presence. What that means in more gadget terms is perhaps a 17 inch widescreen laptop weighing just 1 kilogram. Jon Rådbrink, the designer of the Lexus Nuaero, thinks that this will be the defining standard for Premium cars in the future. (more…)

Intel has partnered with a silicon valley VOIP startup called Jajah to create a chipset and software development kit that enables PCs to be remotely awakened from sleep mode. This move by Intel is in response to the increased demand for more energy efficient computing.
For those of us that run personal file servers or like to download movies and music, Intel Remote Wake allows the server to remain off until the need arises to pull a file from it. If you’re out and about, you could inform the sleeping Home PC to download a movie before you even get home.
The most interesting advantage is that Voip calls can also be received while the PC is asleep – turning it into a mobile phone on standby. (more…)
First the radio watch, then the mp3 watch and now the MP4 watch has hit the markets. MP4 as in MP4 video. Honest to goodness video can now entertain you while you wait for that bus, plane, carpool or little old lady to get out of the way. The company that has brought us this cool new toy is Thanko from Japan.
The MP4 Watch can store a bundle of data too! Up to 10 full length MP4 movies or 500 MP3′s, since it also supports audio playback. (more…)

Thank goodness someone decided to do something a bit different in the area of bluetooth headset design. I’m tired of all those ugly little nubs sticking out of people’s ears. That’s why I’m thankful for the Zinio Boom Bluetooth 2.1+EDR headset.
The idea is that the telescoping microphone can extend to where your mouth is and provide better sound pickup. It looks a bit on the delicate side, but make no mistake, this bluetooth headset will give you 10 hours of talk time with 300 hours of standby, which is nothing to dismiss. (more…)

A designer by the name of Miguel Caballero has been selling bullet proof designer clothing to diplomats, politicians and other prominent people who want the protection of a bullet proof vest, without the bulk.
Some of Caballero’s clients include the president of Columbia, King Abdallah of Jordan and the Prince of Spain. His designer clothing lets them wear bullet proof gear that appears to be regular clothing, thus allowing them to stay more low profile without their outfit screaming bullet proof.
He offers different levels of protection, and he can design clothing to fit your personal taste. His prices range from a little under $1,000 to as much as $9,800 for clothing that can protect you from an automatic weapon such as an Uzi.
Check out the video of some of Cabellero’s clothing in action. (more…)
It is know as the Antikythera Mechanism. It was an astronomical calculator, the first analog computer ever to be designed and it was also used to track dates of the ancient Olympic games.
Experts from Britain, Greece and the United States said they have detected the word “Olympia” on a bronze dial, as well as the names of other games in ancient Greece on the device known as the Antikythera Mechanism.
The 2,100-year-old Antikythera Mechanism was recovered from an ancient shipwreck in 1901 near Antikythera, a small island off Greece’s south coast.
Its insides look like a clock. About 30 bronze gears were cranked to calculate phases of the moon, eclipses and other celestial information specific to a certain date
Most workings of the device only came to light with recent advances in scanning technology and computer processing power. (more…)
