Eye-Fi’s Wireless SD Cards Make Managing Photos Snappy

Eye-fi Wireless Card

Eye-Fi’s technology has digital photographers raving, since they can now transfer and publish photo and video without having to even lay a finger on their computer.  How?  Prepare to be amazed.

The tiny SD memory card is fitted with a Wi-fi antenna, which allows it to transfer its contents over a Wi-fi network.  It is programmed to transmit the photo (or video) immediately after you take it, wirelessly to your computer.

Or it can bypass your computer entirely and upload straight to your favorite photo-sharing websites (Flickr, YouTube, etc.) Eye-Fi has recently upped its list to over 25 sharing sites–Photobucket, SmugMug, and Picasa being among the most recent.

The three cards available on the market today are the 2 GB Eye-Fi Share ($59, photos only), the 4GB Eye-Fi Share ($79, photo/video) and the 4GB Eye-Fi Explore Video ($99, photo/video).  Check out the Eye-Fi website to see which one is right for you.
