Track Your Kids With a GPS Locator Watch
The Nu.M8 digital watch is actually a GPS locator that uses satellite technology to track a child’s location to within 10 feet. The watch can be strapped to the child’s wrist and then tracked via a special website, and will also trigger an alert if forcibly removed.
Parents can also enter commands through the website or a mobile phone, such as “wru” or “where r you” and the location of the child wearing the locator will be pulled up on Google maps. The parent can designate “safe zones” for the child to be allowed to roam, and an alert will be triggered if the child leaves one of those zones.
The world may not be such a horrible place that this kind of device is really necessary as long as parents are observant and responsible, but at least this technology can help placate the paranoid fears that many parents may have when it comes to child safety.
