The 1080P HD Atom-Powered S5 Mobile Internet Device
Viliv announced the S5 Mobile Internet Device (MID) some time ago, and now we have some specs on the device. The parent company, Yukyung, has stated that it will have a 1.3GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 1.8 inch hard drive available in 30GB or 60GB. It also has a 4.8 inch touch screen with up to 1024×600 resolution and 1080p HD acceleration, integrated GPS/DMB, and six hours of battery life.
It will feature a custom OS made from scratch with a Windows XP version to be made available in the future. The S5 will ship in South Korea in the first quarter of 2009.
