New MacBooks are Now Made From Aluminium

It’s that time of the year when Apple updates their MacBooks. They now use a new manufacturing technique that allows them to create the casing from one chunk of aluminium. The result? A slimmer, yet stronger casing profile, and better-looking laptops.

The multitouch trackpad is now made from glass, and the 13.3 inch LCD now uses an LED backlight that’s brighter and better than the previous one. Under the hood, you can find the Intel Centrino 2 processor and suprisingly MacBooks now use the NVidia graphics chard that is claimed to be 5x faster than the previous graphics card. The damage to your wallet starts at US$1299.

The upgrades this time seem more evident compared to the last version of the MacBook. Hopefully, it’s enough to make the competitors to switch to aluminium casing too.
