Iomega Releases The eGo Hard Drive for The MacBook Air

It’s not enough that Apple makes some of slickest looking computers around, but that all it’s 3rd Party Manufacturers feel they have to step up their game too, when they release their peripherals.

Iomega showed off it’s new eGo portable hard drive for the MacBook Air today.  The 2.5 -inch drive  comes in at a cool 320 GB, all tightly packaged in sleek anodized aluminum.  It’s an inch tall as well, and if it runs out of space Iomega has made it compatable with the either the EMC Retrospect Express or Mozy online backup services.

To get technical for a moment, although the drive comes preformatted with Apples HFS+ file system, Windows and alternative OS users will be able to reformat the drive to either NTFS of FAT 32.

The Iomega eGo Helium Portable Hard Drive USB 2.0 320GB will be available worldwide in October for $149.99
