The SONY VAIO FW Gives You 1080p HD Anywhere

Before this year ends, I have a feeling that more people will watch movies on-the-go. First their was Acer and now Sony is introducing its “ultra-wide” notebook with FW Series that features 16.4″ X-Brite Hi-Color LCD to give you lip-smacking movie experience anywhere, even when you have time to burn while sitting in the bathroom.

With a 16.4-inch, you’ll get the same aspect ratio as the original HD movies’ aspect ratio. Thus, there is no distortion that can get in the way of your enjoyment.

There are two packages available: the standard version (US$1000) and the premium version (US$1700) in titanium gray and powder white. For the premium version, you’ll get Blu-ray and full HD 1080p resolution. If the screen is not big enough, there’s an HDMI connector to connect it to a bigger monitor or TV.

The notebook is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 processor and comes with WIndows Vista Ultimate. It also has the usual slots, ports, and jacks, and Wireless-N technology. No other info yet for other specifications.

I think the time has come to (finally) buy Blu-ray disc.
