The New Samsung Soul Comes in a Clamshell
To improve its standing in the style genre, Samsung introduced yet another Soul phone. The Samsung G400 Soul complements the design and form factor variations of the Soul, by adopting a clamshell design.
At a glance, it appears similar to the Motorola RAZR, but the G400 Soul is the first clamshell mobile phone with 5 megapixel camera from the Korean manufacturer. It may not be as thin as the RAZR, but it is way more advanced in terms of features and style.
There are two screens, common for modern clamshell phones, with the touch-sensitive external display that sports a multimedia interface and haptics feedback. The different thing about the G400′s dual screen is that both the external and internal screens have identical size and resolution.
In term of features, you’ll get Bluetooth, HSDPA and video call support, FM radio with RDS, and 120MB shared memory coupled with microSD slot. The 5 MP camera also has face detection, wide dynamic range and image stabilization.

In my view, the G400′s role is to fill in the blanks in the Soul department. Samsung got the U900 Soul and the Soul B and now they want to capture the remaining loyal fans of clamshells. They seem on the mark with this one.
