The Hitachi DZ-DB10H can Record to Blu-Ray or it’s 30GB Hard Drive
It doesn’t take a long time to update an innovative and groundbreaking product. Just six months after releasing the first Blu-Ray camcorder, Hitachi releases a new, smaller version of its Blu-Ray camcorder.
One of the unique features from the previous version can still be found here. The DZ-DB10H can record to 8-cm Blu-rays, DVDs, or it’s 30GB hard drive. In addition, the camera can also record movies and still images to SD/SDHC memory cards. It has a 7 megapixel CMOS sensor, Picture Master image processing, A 2.7-inch hi-res LCD, and a 10x zoom lens with optical anti-shake technology. There’s also face recognition for exposure and focus.
In the HX mode (the full HD 1920×1080 pixel mode), this camcorder can record up to 4.5 hours of video on the 30GB hard drive or an hour if you choose to record onto the Blu-ray disc. Battery life is claimed to be about 80 minutes. It weighs about 575 grams, which is light enough to carry around on your trip.
As usual, our Japanese friends will enjoy it first next August for around US$1400.
