The Video Phone We Thought We Would Have Years Ago
I am sure you have seen countless movies in which they show people using video phones as if it was a regular thing. When you actually think about the technology needed for this, you wonder why something like this is not widespread yet. Tandberg’s hopes to change that with their new E20 video phone, which is targeted toward businesses.
This VOIP video phone has a 5 Megapixel camera which offers DVD quality video on its 10.6-inch WXGA LCD display. It also has a privacy shutter in case you don’t want people to see whats going on.
The speaker phone feature has Tandberg’s acoustic echo cancellation technology for clearer calls. It should be available by early 2009.
