JVC Releases Ultra-Thin, Light Weight LCD TVs

If you have ever moved or carried an LCD TV by yourself (which is not a good idea, by the way) then you must know that it weighs more than it looks. Maybe that is what inspired JVC to spin out their ultra thin LCD display.

It is the world’s thinnest LCD TV with integrated tuners and the biggest one is only 74mm deep. It’s a great achievement considering that the models will come in 42 and 46 inch variants. It tips the scales at just 12 kg – light enough to be easily moved around the bed and living room.

It will support FULL HD at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The new JVC LCD TV will also consume less power in order to save our dying earth.

Still no word about the price, the launch date or even the name. Of course calling it Kate Moss will result in copyright infringement…
