Sanyo’s New LCD TV Loves the Outdoors
Here’s another great summer gadget for those who love the outdoors. The Sanyo CE52SR1 is a 52-inch LCD monitor designed to be used in outdoor environments, with marine-grade construction and LCD that’s readable even under the harsh sunlight conditions. It has 1500 cd/m2 brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio.
The housing is made of aluminum, while the display surface is covered by anti-reflective, tamper-proof glass. There’s also a hole-free ventilation system that can withstand adverse weather conditions and dust.
This Full-HD display can be combined with up to 25 units to display a 5 by 5 giant screen, from a single input signal. You can connect it using DVI-D input, VGA, S-Video, or five pairs of component inputs. Sadly their is no mention of HDMI yet. The CE52SR1 will be available this October, at $13,995.
This product may be targeted for commercial applications, but if you have a spacious backyard and loads of cash, the idea is very tempting…
