Meet Samsung’s iPhone Challenger, the Omnia
The Samsung i900 Omnia is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a 3.2-inch display that takes up most of the front panel of the phone. It comes with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface and the screen has a resolution of 240 by 400 pixels (Wide QVGA).
The quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) phone will operate on both WCDMA and GSM and supports 7.2Mbps HSDPA and EDGE data networking.
The phone will come in both 8Gb and 16Gb versions and supports a whole range of video standards including DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, Windows Media Video and MP4.
The camera has 5 megapixel resolution and other features include GPS (Global Positioning System), Bluetooth, a USB port and FM radio.
The phone measures 112 millimeters by 57mm by 12.5mm.
