The Samsung P960: A Slider Phone with Digital TV

Samsung is still very much in love with the slide form factor and now they’ve released the world’s first DVB-H TV slider phone. It’s called the Samsung P960. It will first appear in Holland through KPN. The P960 will support other European mobile TV standards like DVB-CBMS and OMA-BCAST.

You can view TV shows on its large 2.6-inch QVGA TFT screen with image-enhancing DNIe. Viewers can also benefit from features such as Electronic Service Guide (ESG) that provides an on-screen TV guide, much like the one that comes from your cable or satellite TV provider. It also has picture in picture and a time shifting feature that shifts TV program schedules when a show is interrupted by incoming calls, so you don’t miss any of it.

The 1200mAh battery gives you up to 5 hours of TV time. On top of that, the P960 also boasts other features such as a 3 Megapixel camera with power LED, music player with a Music Library, muti codec support and an FM radio with RDS.

For audio, Bang & Olufsen ICEPower technology is used to produce the crisp sound.

Still no word when it will be available in the US.
