Nokia Unveils the E71 and the E66

Okay, there hasn’t been any touch-screen handsets from Nokia yet. However, the newest business phones from Nokia seem to pack improvements on other fronts.

The Nokia E66 (pictured above) adopts a slider design with accelerometer that detects the phone’s orientation, switching from portrait to landscape automatically just by turning the device. This E series stainless slider is equipped with A-GPS and Nokia Maps, to guide you in more than 150 countries in the world. There’s also the new customizable Home Screen for business and personal modes.

Meanwhile, the Nokia E71 (below) is the most advanced E series at the moment, with innovative features such as Intelligent input, integrated mobile VPN, and data encryption for both phone memory and microSD. Design-wise, it’s much better than the previous ESeries with a full QWERTY keyboard.

All in all, there is no real major breakthrough here, but it’s good to see that someone is taking improving business phones seriously.
