Never Miss a Word, or Sound, with the Pulse Smart Pen

The “Pulse” is a new smartpen by LiveScribe intended for students, reporters and anyone else who has to take down written notes.

Its key feature is its ability to simultaneously record audio as you’re writing and synchronises that audio to your writing. This allows you to playback audio recorded during the writing of a particular word, and you wont miss any part of a conference or lecture again.

The pen is equipped with the ARM 9 processor and a high speed infrared camera for its dot-position-system (DPS). The DPS helps the pen locate its position on a page when it is used with special microdot paper notebooks.

Currently, there are 2 models available. A 1GB model with 100 hours of audio storage that can hold 16000 pages of digital notes, priced at $149. The 2GB model is priced at $199.
