Apple Rumors: 3G iPhone to Be Released on June 9th

One of the sorely desired features the original iPhone failed to capitalize on was 3G network support. However, all that is rumored to change after WWDC when Apple is expected to unveil the newest iteration of their iPhone. June 9th is the expected release date for the US, with other countries around the world finally getting the chance to purchase one around June 18th.

3G support will also become available to original iPhone owners with software update 2.0.

Another new feature rumored to make an appearance in the second iPhone is the ability to geotag your photos automatically. Users will have the ability to tunr this feature off, should the so desire.

Finally, the last great feature Apple customers will gain access to is the Apple “App Store.” Apple released its SDK a while back to developers, and have already shown several apps working on the iPhone/iPod Touch, including AIM, Spore, and programs like Salesforce.com.

Looks like it’s going to be another great year for Apple. Expect more after WWDC hits on June 9th – 13th.
